The 10th Colloquium on Gregory of Nyssa

Olomouc (Czech Republic), 15th - 18th September, 2004

The 10th Colloquium on Gregory of Nyssa was organized by the Centre for Patristic, Medieval and Renaissance Texts (University Olomouc - University Brno - Czech Academy of Sciences Prague), from Wednesday to Saturday, 15th-18th September 2004, in Olomouc.

The main subject of the conference was the second book of Contra Eunomium. We consider this book to be very interesting from a philosophical point of view as well as being very relevant in the context of recent scholarship on the philosophy of language. In choosing the CE II, we continued the work of the colloquium on Contra Eunomium I which took place in Pamplona in 1986. We plan to publish conference proceedings.

Committee of the Colloquium:
Lenka Karfíková (Olomouc, Czech republic)
Thomas Böhm (München, Germany)
Johannes Zachhuber (Berlin, Germany)
Scot Douglass (Boulder, CO, USA)

The programme was prepared in consultation with:
Volker H. Drecoll (Münster, Germany)
Andreas Spira (Mainz, Germany)
